Instructions to setup Dynamic Services (Dynamic DMARC & Dynamic DKIM) using Name Servers and CNAMES with GoDaddy.

Setting up Dynamic DMARC using Name Servers

  1. Log in to your GoDaddy Domain Control Center

  2. Select your domain to access the Domain Settings page.

  3. Select Manage DNS under Additional Settings.

  4. Select Add to add a new record.

  5. Select NS Record from the Type menu options.

  6. Enter the details for your NS record:

    1. Name: The host name of the subdomain prefix you'll be pointing to:

      1. For Dynamic DMARC enter: _dmarc

    2. Value: The Name Server you want the subdomain prefix to point to:

      1. For Dynamic DMARC enter: ns-dmarc.ondmarc.com

    3. TTL: How long the server should cache information. The default setting is 1 hour.

  7. Select Add Record to save your new NS record.

Setting up Dynamic DMARC using CNAMES

  1. Log in to your GoDaddy Domain Control Center

  2. Select your domain to access the Domain Settings page.

  3. Select Manage DNS under Additional Settings.

  4. Select Add to add a new record.

  5. Select CNAME from the Type menu options.

  6. Enter the details for your CNAME.

    1. Name: The host name of the subdomain prefix you'll be pointing to:

      1. For Dynamic DMARC enter: _dmarc

    2. Value: Enter the following value:

      1. For Dynamic DMARC enter the value: _dmarc.exampledomain.com._dmarc.smart.ondmarc.com
        ​
        ​Note: Make sure to replace exampledomain.com within the example above with your own custom domain

    3. TTL: How long the server should cache information. The default setting is 1 hour.

  7. Select Add Record to save your new NS record.

Setting up Dynamic DKIM using Name Servers

  1. Log in to your GoDaddy Domain Control Center

  2. Select your domain to access the Domain Settings page.

  3. Select Manage DNS under Additional Settings.

  4. Select Add to add a new record.

  5. Select NS Record from the Type menu options.

  6. Enter the details for your NS record:

    1. Name: The host name of the subdomain prefix you'll be pointing to:

      1. For Dynamic DKIM enter: _domainkey

    2. Value: The Name Server you want the subdomain prefix to point to:

      1. For Dynamic DKIM enter: ns-dkim.ondmarc.com

    3. TTL: How long the server should cache information. The default setting is 1 hour.

  7. Select Add Record to save your new NS record.
